The Grizzlies outrebounded the Bucks 58-39 last night and it was a huge factor in this game.  O.J. Mayo led the way for the Grizzlies with 24 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.  Rudy Gay (17 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) and Marc Gasol (13 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots) also had rock solid games for the Grizzlies last night.  Zach Randolph (13 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists), Marreese Speights (10 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots) and Quincy Pondexter (10 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal) also pitched in for the Grizzlies in this game.  The Grizzlies are now 28-22 on the year.

Mayo (15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals) also had rock solid games for the Grizzlies last night.  The Grizzlies are now 27-22 on the year.

24-year old point guard Mike Conley has been passing the ball more than usual in March, and that’s a good thing.  In 13 games (all starts) so far in March, Conley is averaging 36.6 minutes, 11.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 2.3 steals per game.  He has now played in 46 games (45 starts) so far this year and he is averaging 36.0 minutes, 12.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 2.5 steals per game.  I think the Grizzlies are a better team when Conley is in a pass first mode.

The Grizzlies outscored the Timberwolves 25-19 in the 4th quarter to pull away for a nice home win last night.  Rudy Gay (21 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots) and Marreese Speights (18 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots) led the way for the Grizzlies last night.  Dante Cunningham also had a rock solid game with 13 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 4 blocked shots last night.  Tony Allen (13 points) and Michael Conley (12 points) also pitched in for the Grizzlies last night.  The Grizzlies are now 27-21 on the year.

The Grizzlies didn’t play much D yesterday as the Clippers shot 50% from the floor and it did them in.  Zach Randolph led the way for the Grizzlies yesterday with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals last night.  O.J. Mayo also had a solid game with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocked shots.  Rudy Gay and Tony Allen also pitched in last night with 11 points apiece.  The Grizzlies are now 25-21 on the year.

The Grizzlies were outrebounded 47-37 last night and they didn’t play much D as the Kings shot 53.4% from the floor and it did them in.  Rudy Gay (23 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists), Mike Conley (16 points, 1 rebound, 9 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) and Marc Gasol (15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists) led the way for the Grizzlies last night.  Tony Allen (14 points) and Zach Randolph (13 points) also pitched in for the Grizzlies last night.  The Grizzlies are now 25-19 on the year.

The Grizzlies have signed 30-year old guard Gilbert Arenas to a 1-year deal.  Arenas played in 70 games (16 starts) for the Wizards & Magic last year and he averaged 25.7 minutes, 10.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game.  Arenas has now played in 535 games (455 starts) in his NBA career and he is averaging 35.8 minutes, 21.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game.  The Grizzlies are hoping that Arenas will add some offensive zip off the bench the rest of this year.
