The Memphis Grizzlies acquire forward Zach Randolph from the Clippers

The Grizzlies have acquired 28-year old power forward Zach Randolph from the Clippers for 29-year old Quentin Richardson who was just acquired from the Knicks last week. Randolph gives the Grizzlies a solid scoring option which they really need big time. Randolph played in 50 games (45 starts) for the Knicks and Clippers last season in which he averaged 35.1 minutes, 20.8 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Randolph has now played in 506 games (379 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 16.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 30 minutes per game. This was a outstanding move for the Grizzlies as Richardson was just going to come off of the bench for them and Randolph will likely be a impact player.
