The Grizzlies came out of the locker room firing in the third quarter as they outscored the Sonics 38-24 and then they made the lead they got stick. Rudy Gay led the way with a stat sheet stuffer as he scored 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out 2 assists, stole the ball twice and blocked 3 shots. Mike Miller also was outstanding as he scored 20 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out two assists. Darko Milicic also was outstanding near the basket with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. The Grizzlies are now 1-2 on the season.

The Grizzlies didn’t play any defense as the Pacers shot 52.8% from the floor with did them in. Kyle Lowry was outstanding in 25 minutes off of the bench as he scored 19 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, dished out 6 assists and stole the ball twice. Pau Gasol was outstanding around the rim with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Mike Miller also was very active with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. The Grizzlies are now 0-2 on the season with this loss.

San Antonio Spurs 104, Memphis Grizzlies 101

The Grizzlies hung tough in this game until the Spurs outscored them 25-19 in the 4th quarter. Pau Gasol led the way for the Grizzlies with 22 points, 3 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Damon Stoudamire did a good job of running the point as he finished with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Rudy Gay (16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists) and Mike Miller (11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists) each pitched in to help the offense. The Grizzlies are now 0-1 on the season.
