The Grizzlies’ have acquired Spanish guard Juan Carlos Navarro from the Wizards for a future first round pick. Navarro is nicknamed “La Bomba” because of his freakish shooting range. He played on a Gold Medal winning basketball team with Pau Gasol in Spain that defeated the USA in 1999. He is 27 years old but he was regarded as one of the best guards in all of Europe. This has to make Pau Gasol happy but Navarro will have to earn his minutes on the Grizzles this season.
