Point Guards
Damon Stoudamire is back after only playing 27 games last season before needing knee surgery. Stoudamire is a tough, little guy that runs a team well. Stoudamire has averaged 14.5 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.2 steals in his 756 game career. The Grizzlies would take anything close to those career norms and be happy.
Chucky Atkins is the back-up. Atkins is more of a shoot-first point guard, that doesn’t pile up the assists. Atkins has played an average of 26.4 minutes per game in his career and has averaged 10.5 points per game. Atkins only averages 3.5 assists per game over his career, so he comes in to shoot.
Kyle Lowry was a late first round pick for the Grizzlies and could be the future for the Grizzlies at the point position, but Fratello likes to play the veterans.
